Del Webb Minneola is a gated, single-family 55-plus community built by Del Webb, part of PulteGroup, with construction beginning in 2023 and new homes still being built. Homes range from about 1,400 to nearly 3,500 square feet, priced from the low $400,000s into the low $700,000s, and the community sits roughly half an hour from Orlando close to the Lake County lakes and preserves that give the area its character. Amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, a zero-entry pool and spa, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce courts, a pet park, and walking and biking trails, run day to day by a lifestyle director rather than a traditional activities director.

Being newer than most of the 55-plus communities we cover, Del Webb Minneola’s cart population skews young, which changes what we actually find under the seat.

What Del Webb Minneola carts need

Setup problems, not wear-out problems, on the newest carts. A cart bought within the last year or two rarely needs a battery pack. What it more often needs is a charger matched correctly to the pack voltage, a charge port that was never properly seated, or accessory wiring, a stereo, a light bar, a phone mount, tapped straight off one battery in the pack instead of through a voltage converter. That imbalance drains one battery faster than its neighbors and shows up as a mysteriously weak pack on a cart that is barely broken in. Heat, from day one. Even a new pack is not exempt from South Lake County summers. We are not able to speak for the association’s cart policy; check your current HOA documents. Should the cart leave the community for Minneola’s public streets, we could not find a City of Minneola ordinance designating any street for golf cart use, so F.S. 316.212 leaves a standard cart off the public road network there.
