F.S. 316.212(6) requires efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflectorized warning devices front and rear on any designated cart street, and Clermont’s own ordinance, City Code Sec. 32-105, sets a $20 registration fee and limits registered carts to the zone north of SR 50 and west of US 27. Night operation is allowed only where the local government permits it and only with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and a windshield. What no shop can sell you is a title or a VIN, so a golf cart stays a golf cart no matter what lights it carries. What moves a price inside its range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. A 48V pack of premium Trojan 8-volts costs more than a 36V pack of value 6-volts. That is the biggest swing in the whole price list.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Bigger tires, custom wheels, and aftermarket controllers add parts cost and sometimes labor.
- Terrain. A cart that lives on a hillier street in Kings Ridge or near Montverde works its brakes and pack harder than one on the flat grid closer to US 27, and that shows up in how often it needs service, not in the price of any one repair.
- Distance. The trip fee, not the repair price, absorbs distance. Repair prices are the same in Mascotte as in downtown Clermont.
What is not on the list
Two things. We do not do factory warranty work for any manufacturer, because we are independent and not authorized by Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And we do not quote a repair we would not recommend: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” and we will say that instead of writing a $2,000 ticket.

Send the brand, the model year if you know it, the battery count (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), whether it is gas or electric, and what the cart is doing.
